Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, stored, and protected when you read Reymonta, create a reader account, use research features, subscribe to communications, or submit material to the publication.

Last updated 22 August 2026
Reymonta aims to collect only the information needed to operate reader accounts, editorial tools, audience measurement, newsletters, and submission workflows. The categories actually processed depend on which features you choose to use and on the configuration of the deployed service.
01

Information we may collect

Depending on how you use the site, Reymonta may process information you provide directly, account and authentication records, saved editorial activity, research-workspace data, newsletter details, submission materials, and limited technical or audience-measurement information. We do not require every category of information from every reader.

02

Reader accounts and authentication

When you register, the service stores information such as your email address and display name. Passwords are not intended to be stored in plaintext; authentication uses a salted password hash. Account records may also include account status, login activity, session-related information, and preferences required to provide member features.

03

Saved content, notes, highlights, and collections

If you use Reymonta's reader workspace, the service may retain the articles or other items you save, reading-list state, collections, follows, private notes, highlights, tags, and related timestamps. These features are associated with your reader account so that your personal research space can be restored when you return.

04

Audience measurement and service analytics

Reymonta may record page views, content views, route totals, referral information, save activity, and short-lived activity signals used to understand site usage and current audience activity. The current analytics design is intended not to retain raw IP addresses in the analytics data store, although infrastructure providers may process network information as part of delivering the service.

05

Newsletter and communications

If you subscribe to a Reymonta newsletter or similar communication, the email address and related subscription information you submit may be stored for delivery and administration. You can stop receiving optional communications using the unsubscribe method provided with the relevant communication or by contacting Reymonta.

06

Applications and editorial submissions

When you apply to join the team or submit writing, Reymonta may process the information entered in the form together with files you choose to upload, such as a CV, portfolio, or writing sample. Submission files are intended to be kept outside the public media directory and accessed through the restricted administrative workflow. Please do not submit sensitive information that is not relevant to the application or editorial review.

07

Cookies and local browser storage

The site uses cookies or comparable browser storage where needed for functions such as authenticated sessions, language preference, visitor continuity, and limited client-side state. Signed HttpOnly cookies are used for authenticated member sessions. Browser controls can usually be used to remove or block stored data, although doing so may affect account or preference features.

08

Retention

Information is generally retained for as long as it is reasonably needed to provide the relevant feature, administer the publication, maintain appropriate records, protect the service, or meet applicable obligations. Retention periods may differ by data category and deployment environment. Records may be deleted, anonymized, or retained for longer where a legitimate operational or legal reason applies.

09

Security

Reymonta uses technical and organizational measures appropriate to the service, including password hashing, signed session cookies, access controls around administrative functions, request validation, and restricted handling of submission files. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so readers should also protect their account credentials and use secure devices and connections.

10

Service providers and external links

Operating the website may involve hosting, infrastructure, email, analytics, or other technical providers, depending on deployment. Reymonta pages may also link to external websites. Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy practices, and Reymonta does not control how an external site processes information after you leave Reymonta.

11

Your choices and requests

You can manage certain account information and reader preferences from your profile. Depending on applicable law and your location, you may also have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of personal information. Requests can be directed to Reymonta using the contact details below; additional verification may be required before acting on a request.

12

Privacy contact

Questions about this policy, account information, or privacy-related requests can be sent to the contact address published here. Please include enough information for Reymonta to understand and respond to your request, without including unnecessary sensitive information.
